The CEF Philippines Overseas Missions Program
The CEFP Missions Program is designed to train, fully equip and mobilize prospective potential workers/missionaries who are called and willing to be sent to the regions beyond for the evangelization and discipleship of the children. This program utilizes missionaries to establish or expand the CEF ministry in other countries, in response to the urgent need of workers.
Under the leadership of then National Director, Mr Rodolfo Corgado, the first Filipino who responded to the call for CEF overseas missions was Miss Zenaida Magat. She left for the Middle East in 1988, returning in 1994 when her visa expired.
On June 18, 1993, Miss Ma Theresa Llorente, left for Tonga to become the second overseas missionary. Presently, she is serving as Missionary Director of Tonga CEF preparing the nationals to take on the responsibility in the near future.
It is CEF Philippines prayer and desire that in the years to come, many of the missionaries reaching out to the children of the world will have come from the Philippines. Even as it is now praying and preparing potential workers who will be the next batch of missionaries to serve in foreign lands. Pray for our Missions Program.
